Greytown student Ella Butler-Peck recently returned from an unforgettable 21-day Outward Bound Korowai course in the Marlborough Sounds — an experience made possible with a $3,000 sponsorship from the Greytown Lands Trust.

The results of the recent Trustee election have been released.

We are delighted that Phil Holden has been re-elected to the Board — his experience and ongoing commitment to the Trust and the Greytown community are greatly valued.

Greytown Lands Trust is proud to support local sport and active recreation with a new contestable funding round, now open for applications.

The funding round has been reopened and a total of $9,000 is still available this year for clubs, incorporated societies, and community groups delivering sport or active recreation activities that benefit the Greytown community.

The Trust is proud to support a significant community initiative led by the Greytown RSA, with cornerstone funding commitment of $40,000 towards the development of a new cenotaph at the town’s memorial swimming baths.

A total of $15,000 is available this year for clubs, incorporated societies, and community groups delivering sport or active recreation activities that benefit the Greytown community.

Community funding 2025 - “social, cultural and environmental”

During June and July we invited applications from local community groups, incorporated societies and registered charities for activities and projects in the areas of “social, cultural and environmental” well-being. 

Trustees at our July Board meeting confirmed funding for the following groups.

Our funding round for projects and initiatives that support the social, cultural, and environmental well-being of our town is now open.

Applications close 5pm on Wednesday 9 July.

Be on Main Street on Friday 27 June, for a special opening night to kick off the festivities.

Greytown Lands Trust recently made a significant commitment of a $25,000 grant to support Greytown Little Theatre’s Studio 73 Upgrade Project.

On Sunday 16 February we had the pleasure of attending the opening of the new pavilion at Soldiers Memorial Park and being part of a very special moment when the name of the new pavilion was revealed – the John Gray Pavilion in recognition of John’s incredible dedication to the community and sport over so many years.

This year we introduced a tertiary education scholarship programme and recently sought registrations of interest.

In July we invited applications from local community groups, incorporated societies and registered charities for activities and projects in the areas of social, cultural and environmental well-being.  We had $22,000 available to distribute with Trustees at our August Board meeting confirming funding for the following groups.
