• Incorporated societies, clubs or groups delivering sport or active recreation activities within the Greytown district.

• Organisations based outside Greytown delivering activities not already available within the Greytown district, provided they can demonstrate Greytown participation.    

• Individuals participating in recognised sport or active recreation events or competitions at a national or international level.  Individuals applying for funding must be Greytown residents. Applications for individuals under 18 years of age must be supported or endorsed by a parent/caregiver, affiliated club, or school

Funding is available for projects and activities that benefit the Greytown community by supporting:

1.        Capability, support and retention

Improving the capability, support and retention of those delivering and administering sport and active recreation activities (eg coaches, volunteers, referees, administrators). 

2.        Participation and access

Increasing participation in, and access to, sport and active recreation opportunities within the Greytown community.

Examples of what can be funded:

• Equipment, resources, playing uniforms.

• Coaching and training programmes.

• Youth development initiatives.

• Travel assistance for national or international representation.

• Projects or activities that encourage participation, inclusion and accessibility.

What we’re looking for:

• Clear community benefit and positive impact.

• Initiatives that promote participation, access and equity.

• A well-planned project or activity supported by a realistic budget.

The Trust will generally not fund:

• Retrospective expenses.

• Activities primarily for private financial benefit or commercial gain.

• Alcohol or entertainment costs.

• Activities inconsistent with the charitable purposes of the Trust.

• Projects with limited community benefit.

Complete the online application form in full and attach copies of all information required. Copies of the application form can also be collected from our Trust office at 124 Main Street, Greytown.

Trustees will consider eligible applications as soon as practical after the closing date.

All decisions are at the discretion of the Trustees.

Successful applicants will be required to complete an evaluation report following completion of the project or activity, explaining the impact of the funding. 

Applicants may also be asked to provide evidence of expenditure relating to the budget submitted as part of their application.
