Contestable Funding - August 2025
Greytown Lands Trust is offering $15,000 in funding to support clubs and organisations delivering sport and active recreation activities that benefit the Greytown community.
Applications open: Monday 11 August 2025
Applications close: 5pm, Wednesday 3 September 2025
To apply, you must be able to clearly demonstrate how your proposed activity will benefit the Greytown community.
Please note funding is not available for individuals.

You are eligible to apply if you are:
· An incorporated society, club, or group delivering sport or active recreation activities in the Greytown district.
· An organisation based outside Greytown, delivering an activity not already available within the Greytown district - must be able to demonstrate Greytown participation.
Funding is not available for individuals.

Funding is available for projects or activities that benefit the Greytown community by supporting:
1. Improved capability, support and retention
Supporting those who deliver and manage sport and active recreation (eg volunteers, coaches, administrators)
2. Increasing participation
Creating more opportunities for Greytown residents to get involved.
Examples of what can be funded:
· Equipment
· Playing uniforms
· Coaching or training programmes
· Youth development initiatives
· Projects that encourage inclusion and participationWhat We’re Looking For:
· Clear community benefit
· Initiatives promoting access and equity
· A well-planned project or activity with a realistic budget -
Complete the online application form in full and attach copies of all information required. Copies of the application form can also be collected from our Trust office at 124 Main Street, Greytown.
Trustees will consider all eligible applications received at their September Board meeting.

All grant recipients will be asked to complete an evaluation report following the project / activity explaining the difference the grant received has made.
Proof of expenditure as per the budget outlined in your application may also be requested.
