Supporting Grassroots Cricket in Greytown
Late last year as part of our Sports Funding we supported Greytown Cricket Club with funding to help cover the cost of cricket balls for their junior and senior teams for the season ahead.
With more than 50 games played each year and senior cricket balls costing around $140 each, this is a significant ongoing expense for the club. The funding helps ease this burden, enabling the club to keep both junior and senior subscriptions at affordable levels and ensuring continued access to the sport for players of all ages.
This support plays an important role in sustaining grassroots cricket in the Wairarapa, and reflects the Trust’s commitment to strengthening local sport and community participation.
