Community funding round - “social, cultural and environmental”
Applications open on 3 June and close at midday on 3 July 2026.
Applications are now invited for projects and initiatives that provide a community-wide benefit to the Greytown district in the areas of “social, cultural, and environmental well-being”.
The community funding round is open to local community groups, incorporated societies, registered charities and individuals who live or deliver activities within the Trust’s defined geographical boundaries, being the Greytown District Electoral Ward.
To apply, you must be able to clearly demonstrate how your proposed activity will benefit the Greytown community.

The community funding round is open to local community groups, incorporated societies, registered charities and individuals who live or deliver activities within the Trust’s defined geographical boundaries, being the Greytown District Electoral Ward.

Funding is available for community projects or activities that deliver community-wide benefit to the Greytown district in the areas of “social, cultural and environmental wellbeing”.
Applicants must be able to clearly demonstrate how the project / activity they are seeking funding for will benefit the Greytown community.
Social
Organisations and initiatives that support those in the community who are disadvantaged or in need.
Activities that encourage community connection, participation, passive recreation and community-wide engagement.
Cultural
Organisations, venues and events that encourage participation or promote interest in and enjoyment of arts, culture and local history.
Environmental
Initiatives that promote or deliver enhancements to local service infrastructure and to the local built and natural environment.

The Trust will generally not fund:
Retrospective expenses.
Activities primarily for private financial benefit or commercial gain.
Alcohol or entertainment costs.
Activities inconsistent with the charitable purposes of the Trust.
Projects with limited community benefit.
The Trustees reserve the right to determine eligibility and funding priorities at their discretion.

Complete the online application form in full and attach copies of all information required. Copies of the application form can also be collected from our Trust office at 124 Main Street, Greytown.
Trustees will consider all eligible applications received as soon as possible after the closing date.
All decisions are at the discretion of the Trustees.

Successful applicants will be asked to complete an evaluation report following completion of the project / activity, outlining how the funding contributed to positive outcomes for the community.
Applicants may be asked to provide evidence of expenditure relating to the budget submitted as part of their application.
