Trustee Elections Coming Up
This year marks an election year for the Trust. In line with the triennial local government elections, three Trustees will retire by rotation on Saturday 11 October. All three are eligible for re-election, should they choose to stand.
Thinking about standing but not quite sure what’s involved? Whether you’re curious about the responsibilities of a Trustee, the skills and attributes we're looking for, or simply want to learn more about the Trust's work in the community, please get in touch.
Nominations open on Friday 4 July, with nomination forms and candidate information packs available from the South Wairarapa District Council offices in Martinborough and on their website. Completed nominations must be submitted no later than 12 noon on Friday 1 August.
The Trust strongly believes that good governance is built on a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We are committed to building a Board that reflects the breadth and richness of our local community. We warmly encourage nominations from women, tangata whenua, people of diverse ethnic backgrounds, and younger residents.
